Postcard From Ngoenga - February 06
As we crept further north the land became more visible and farms and mountains appeared through the dustry train window. So here I am at Ngonga school. today I spent time with the very special needs class ...children with multiple disabilities. The teachers are wonderful and doing their best in very poorly-equipped rooms. The kids are patient and are very loving and greet me with a huge smile and a bow. It is early days yet but I know I will be able to help in many ways. I am happy to be here and of service to the school. I am off to cook soup from vegs I bought off a trolley, otherwise I usually eat Tibetan food which is basic but good. I am losing my jelly belly by the day! 'Tashi Delek' to you all from the beautiful mountains (the Tibetans don't know the name of them!) by Claire Hewitt
